Design & Verification

Thermal & Mechanical Design

Design of thermal solutions involves creating the physical geometries for your product. This can take the form of Heatsinks, Liquid Cooled coldplates, and other heat transfer structures. In addition, thermal interface material (TIM) selection, sizing of the heatsink to maximize thermal performance and reduce pressure drop, and sizing retention hardware are key parts of any thermal solution design. We also design for system level considerations, such as flow balancing and optimizing flow paths to decrease maximum temperatures for your products.

Analytical Modeling

An important tool we use is analytical modeling. You can think of this as a stepping stone between design and simulation stages. We use analytical modeling to understand the fundamentals of heat transfer in your product, and estimate the performance of the solution without running simulations. This step provides us with an estimate that can be taken into simulation tools, and give us more confidence in the simulation results.

Thermal Simulation

Once we have understood the physical processes that govern your application, we use industry leading thermal simulation tools to verify the design. With experience in CFD and FEA, we can optimize the design by conducting Design of Experiments (DOE). We report the results in a weigthed matrix to help you make the right decision, balancing your requirements.

Prototyping & Validation

Prototyping

We partner with local partners to build protoytpes of the thermal solutions, using fast and cost-effective rapid prototyping tools.

Testing & Validation

Our experience in develop tesing plans and executing thermal testing, will enable you to have confidence in the thermal solution.
